Founded by Lau Kok Keong, K.K. Lau Car Audio Specialist Sdn Bhd is a premium, audiophile-focused car audio workshop with over 35 years of industry experience, based in Ara Damansara, Petaling Jaya.
Driven by a lifelong passion for sound, Lau Kok Keong began his journey in audio engineering at a young age. He trained under experienced professionals and studied audio electronics at Nanyang Institute of Electronics, before establishing his own workshop at just 21 years old. What began as a personal pursuit of sound quality has since grown into a workshop trusted by enthusiasts across Klang Valley, Malaysia, and beyond.
Today, we specialise in medium- to high-end car audio system design, offering premium installation, precise tuning, and customised solutions tailored to each vehicle and listening preference. Rather than focusing on brand names or specifications alone, our work prioritises sound balance, musical accuracy, and long-term listening comfort.
At the heart of our workshop is a highly experienced senior technician who has been with us for over 25 years, leading all critical handcraft work and wiring. This long-term consistency is a key reason our installations remain clean, reliable, and respectful of each vehicle’s original structure. Supporting technicians may come and go, but the core workmanship standard never changes.
In our earlier years, we were actively involved in car audio competitions, accumulating extensive hands-on experience and technical knowledge. Over time, however, our philosophy evolved. We no longer pursue rigid, competition-oriented sound. Instead, we focus on natural, comfortable, and enjoyable audio designed for real-world driving and daily use.
